Message In my 1991 Nissan Factory Service Manual on page CL-15, it shows the torque settings for the bolts to attach the pressure plate (clutch cover) to the flywheel as 25-33 ft-lbs, which is similar to what is in the clutch replacement writeup in the Tech section.

But then, skip ahead two pages to page CL-17. It shows torque settings for the same bolts as 16-22 ft-lbs.

I'm left wondering which numbers are actually correct. I know a lot of people on the forums usually quote a number around 29 ft-lbs or so, but I also know that I've stripped out and had to install quite a few helicoils in aluminum flywheels lately. Any thoughts as to why there are two different numbers in the same FSM or as to which is the correct number? Am I missing something obvious here?
